I am delighted to be recognised as a finalist in the Service Business category of the 2022 Australian Small Business Champion Awards. Last year I had the honour of being recognised with a GOLD win in the New Business category and I couldn’t be more excited to represent Olivia Jenkins Consulting again in 2022.
If you need a bit of a refresher, The Australian Small Business Champion Awards first began in 1999 and since then have served as one of Australia’s premier awards programs for small business owners. The awards seek to showcase the hard work that business owners contribute to the local community and economy by generating employment for millions of Australians.
When I started my business back in 2019 on a huge leap of faith, I had no idea what life would one day look like — at the time I was leaving what had once been my dream job to pursue my own path! The only thing I knew was that I wanted to bring my vision of becoming the “CEO’s Wing Woman” to life. Through hard work, late nights, and sheer ambition, it became possible…and looking back on where I was then versus what my life looks like now makes this recognition all the more meaningful.
Of course, there’s one more BIG thing that made this dream a reality: my clients. If you’ve ever worked with me in any capacity and in doing so helped me make this dream possible, I also want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was recently asked what inspires me and keeps me motivated, and I can whole-heartedly say that my amazing clients inspire me every day and there’s nothing more motivating than seeing their success on a daily basis. This is what being a service provider is all about – having the honour to be trusted by these brands but also to be a part of their journey to success.
No matter what happens on award night, I am proud and humbled to have made the finals this year again alongside so many other incredible business owners. The 2022 Champions winners will be announced in September. I’ll be sure to keep you all updated.
